Blending Eastern & Western Veterinary Medicine
Our Practice

The main focus of Four Paws Wellness Center is to provide excellent veterinary care to dogs and cats in a unique and integrative medicine setting.

Four Paws Wellness Center (FPWC ) is a small animal clinic in Bend, Oregon, owned and operated by Steve Blauvelt, DVM- Dogwan Alternatives, Inc.

Since opening in May, 2013, FPWC has had a 'seamless' and stable transition from Dr Blauvelt's 6 year association with Sage Veterinary Alternatives, also of Bend, Oregon.

Our Clinic provides the following to make you and your pet's experience an enjoyable one:

  • Controlled independent ambient sound for a calming atmosphere in the surgery, recovery, exam and acupuncture/massage rooms

  • Non slip flooring for pet safety

  • Relaxing / Calming Essential Oil infusion

In addition, Four Paws Wellness Center makes use of laser therapy options, diagnostic blood pressure equipment, acupuncture-enhanced surgical recovery, and medicinal cannabis therapy. FPWC is a relatively small, non-mainstream, veterinary clinic in one of the most pet-friendly communities of the world. Additional services provided will only enhance the long term success of this practice, and improve the quality of life of its patients.
